America’s longest running professional surfing competition and the second oldest in the world, the East Coast Surfing Championships (ECSC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year as the country’s only six-star rated Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) contest, with a full schedule of events happening at the Virginia Beach oceanfront this week.

Sponsored by Coastal Edge and the Virginia Beach Jaycees, the 50th Annual ECSC begins this Monday, August 20 and runs through this Sunday, August 26 on the beach at the First Street Jetty in Virginia Beach, VA.

In addition to the pro and amateur surfing action, there will be professional skatebording exhibitions, bodyboarding and volleyball tournaments, and a ton of live entertainment on stage, including the annual Miss ECSC Swimsuit Pageant.
