Weekend Movie Update – July 27, 2012
The neighborhood Watch takes on an alien invasion in theaters this week, while a big screen dancing Revolution goes 3D and the Pioneer hosts People Like Us.
Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of July 27, 2012!
The family drama People Like Us (rated PG13) opens at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, starting this Friday for a one week run.
Starring Chris Pine (Star Trek), Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games), Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy), and Michelle Pfeiffer (Dark Shadows), showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Headlining this week’s new releases, Ben Stiller (Meet the Parents), Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers), and Jonah Hill (21 Jump Street) join forces in The Watch, opening Friday at KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills and Hatteras Movies 4 in Avon.
In the sci-fi comedy, the well-meaning neighborhood watch unexpectedly discovers an alien presence from another world.

Step Up Revolution (rated PG13) also opens this week, showing in both 3D and traditionl 2D formats, starring Kathryn McCormick (2009’s Fame remake) and newcomer Ryan Guzman.
The fast-paced third sequel in the successful Step Up franchise features insane dancing that is – quite literally – in your face throughout the film.
