[July 4th] Eric Lindell Brings Funk to Port O' Call

 After the fireworks this July 4th, national recording artist Eric Lindell will crank up the funk live in concert at Port O’ Call in Kill Devil Hills.

Lindell grew up in the San Fancisco Bay Area, influenced early on by the raw sound of pioneering bands like Fishbone and Black Flag.

He started out playing at bars while working as a baker in North Carolina in order to make ends meet, but he really began to develop his signature blend of blues and funk when he relocated to New Orleans in 1999.

Eric Lindell is currently on tour in support of his newest album, 'I Still Love You'.

Lindell’s 2006 album Change in the Weather featured the radio hit “Give it Time”, which was featured in an episode of the ABC television series Boston Legal.

His next album, 2008’s Low on Cash, Rich in Love included another radio single, “Lay Back Down”, which was featured in episodes of the TV shows True Blood and Friday Night Lights.

Eric Lindell is set to hit the stage at Port O’ Call in Kill Devil Hills this Wednesday, July 4th.
