Festival Park Hosts 'Stuart Little' Kids Show This Week
The popular kids show Stuart Little is coming to Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo this week for three performances this Tuesday through Thursday.
Per the official press release from the park, UNC Pembroke will present the well-loved children’s show “Stuart Little” June 12, 13, and 14 in the Indoor Theatre at 10:30 a.m. each morning.
Tickets are $5 for all 6 years old and older and may be purchased in advance at the Visitors Center or the day of the event. Ages 5 and under are free.
He’s one small mouse on one very big adventure but Stuart Little is no ordinary mouse. Born to a family of humans, he lives inNew York Citywith his parents, his older brother George, and Snowbell the cat. Though he’s shy and thoughtful, he’s also a true lover of adventure. Stuart’s greatest adventure comes when his best friend, a beautiful little bird named Margalo, disappears from her nest. Determined to track her down, Stuart ventures away from home for the very first time in his life. He finds adventure aplenty. But will he find his friend?
The UNC- Pembroke Summer Staff and Acting Company include: Director – Hal Davis, Asst. Professor of Musical Theatre; Musical Director- Tracy Thomas; Musical Theatre Voice;Choreographer- Natalie Smith, Dance and Costume Design; Keyboard- Nathan Thomas, Vocal Coaching, Director.
Some of North Carolina’s best young talent performs at oanoke Island Festival Park during the Performance Series. Offering year round music, dance, drama, opera and children’s shows for the community to enjoy, the series invites performing arts departments from all campuses of the University of North Carolina system to participate.
