OBX Weekend Movie Update – April 13, 2012
The Games begin at the newly digitized Pioneer Theatre this week, while the must-see horror movie of the year takes on the Three Stooges in local theaters starting on Friday the 13th!

The record-breaking blockbuster adaptation of the bestselling novel The Hunger Games (rated PG13) opens at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo on Friday. You can view the official trailer in the player below!
The futuristic action movie stars Jennifer Lawrence and was filmed on location at various locations throughout North Carolina.

The much buzzed about horror film Cabin in the Woods (rated R) headlines this week’s new releases, opening on Friday the 13th at KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.
Cabin was co-written and produced by ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ creator Joss Whedon and has gotten great reviews from everyone from gore-obsessed fanboys to high end critics who have seen it.
It stars Chris Hemsworth, who also appears as Thor in next month’s The Avengers (directed by Whedon). You can view the official trailer in the player below!
Also new at KDH Movies 10 this week is the comedy revival of The Three Stooges (rated PG), directed by the Farrelly brothers (There’s Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber).
