There will be three performances this weekend, with showtimes at 7pm on Friday and Saturday night, and 2pm on Sunday.
Alcott’s novel has a rich history in pop culture, as Hollywood has told the story of the March sisters in no less than six different movie adaptations and two television series, starting with a pair of silent films – 1917’s Little Women starring Minna Grey, followed by 1918’s Little Women starring Dorothy Bernard (pictured below).
The 1933 version starred Katharine Hepburn (On Golden Pond) and won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.

The 1949 adaptation was the first in color and starred a 17-year-old Elizabeth Taylor (Cleopatra) and a 21-year-old Janet Leigh (Psycho).
You can see Taylor in action as ‘Amy’ in a clip from 1949 film version using the player below!
There was also a 1978 made-for-television film that starred The Partridge Family‘s Susan Dey and Star Trek‘s William Shatner.

The 1980s saw the novel translated into two different animated Japanese television series.
The first series (above) premiered in 1981, and the second (below) in 1987.
The most recent big screen version of Little Women opened in 1994 starring Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice), who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, and a pre-Batman Christian Bale (The Dark Knight).

Tickets for each of this weekend’s performances are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and students.
