It was a one of the most beautiful Outer Banks days in recent memory for The 23rd Annual Kelly’s St. Patrick’s Parade on Sunday, March 18, 2012 on the beach road in Nags Head.
Event founder and local leprechaun Mike Kelly led the parade as is tradition, kicking it off this year with a shout out to OBX Entertainment! You can watch Kelly wish our audience a great day in the player below!
Hundreds marched and thousands watched and cheered, as this year’s official parade theme honored the 10th anniversary of the Outer Banks Hospital.
The always popular ‘South Nags Head White Trash Marching Band and Beach Chair Drill Team’ took home 1st Place Best in Parade honors.
No strangers to annual parade goers, the White Trash Band and Beach Chair Drill Team have won three prior 1st Place parade awards.
