15th Annual YMCA Penguin Plunge
The 15th Annual Outer Banks Family YMCA Penguin Plunge is set for Saturday, February 25th at the Ramada Inn in Kill Devil Hills. Registration begins at 11am, with the Plunge scheduled for 12pm. You can watch the official event trailer below. The cost is $25 to register, $10 for children 12 and under, with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the YMCA’s We Build People program.
Participants are encouraged to raise an additional $25 in sponsorships. Registration includes lunch from Outback Steakhouse, commemorative t-shirt and a chance to dive into the icy Atlantic with others crazy for a cause!
Prizes will be awarded for Oldest Plunger, Youngest Plunger, Wackiest Costume and Highest Fundraising Total. Monies raised support the We Build People that affords local youth the opportunity to attend camp, swim lessons and sports programs. Registration forms available at the YMCA or at www.obxymca.org.
