G Love Coming to Outer Banks Brewing Station in Concert

Posted By on July 11, 2018

National recording artist G Love will be in Kill Devil Hills this month, live in concert at Outer Banks Brewing Station.

The son of a banking lawyer, G Love was born in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, and began playing guitar at age eight. He wrote his first song by the time he was in the ninth grade and began playing harmonica in a wire rack. He credits Bob Dylan and John Hammond Jr., as well as the then-contemporary “old school” hip-hop sounds of Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, and Philadelphia’s own Schoolly D, as influences.

Known for his live shows, he is often seen touring with Jack Johnson. As a producer, Johnson signed G Love to his record label Brushfire Records. He has made appearances on the records of artists such as Slightly Stoopid and Donavon Frankenreiter.

Presented by Ravra Productions, G Love will bring his unique sound blending laid back blues, alternative, hip hop, and classic R&B honed over the past 25 years to the Outer Banks Brewing Station in Kill Devil Hills on Tuesday, July 17, starting with a special guest opening act at 10pm.

Tickets are $30, available for advance online purchase here.
