Roanoke Island Festival Park Announces 2018 Summer Kids Shows

 Roanoke Island Festival Park has announced the performance schedule for their popular Children’s Show Summer Series, running from June 20 through August 9, 2018. 

The series includes kid friendly performances held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am and an evening show on Thursdays at 6:00pm, excluding the week of July 4th.

Tickets are $5 per show and children age 2 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the park’s ticket sales venue in advance or on the day of show.

This year’s performances include Upcycled Cinderella (June 20-21), Haydini: Rare Magic Well Done (June 27-28), The Wizard of Oz (July 11-12)Charlotte’s Web (July 18-19), Rumpelstiltskin (July 25-26), Beauty and the Beast (August 1-2), and Bathtub Pirates (August 8-9). A special 4th of July show will be hosted by the 208th Army Band at 10:30am. 

“Our children’s shows are one of our favorite seasonal programs at the park. The shows are always high energy and a lot of fun for kids and their families.”, said Kim Sawyer, Executive Director at Roanoke Island Festival Park.

This year’s performances are sponsored in part by Towne Bank and the Friends of Elizabeth II.
