Putt Putt for Polio Returns to Professor Hacker’s in May

Posted By on March 6, 2017

The 5th Annual Putt Putt for Polio charity event is back in May.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds to fight the scourge of polio and to keep it from coming back, jointly sponsored by the Currituck Wild Goose, Kitty Hawk, First Flight and Manteo Rotary Clubs.

Putt Putt for Polio is happening on Saturday, May 13 from 1 to 4pm at Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf, located at 1600 North Croatan Highway (US 158) in Kill Devil Hills.

Anyone interested is invited to bring the whole family for a round of putt putt mini golf and help to finally defeat polio.

Kids and adults can have pictures taken with a local pirate, as they make polio “walk the plank.”

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.  Proceeds go to Rotary’s “End Polio Now” campaign and will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. For more information, please go to pirateputtputt.com or Facebook/PuttPuttForPolio.
