Posted By on October 25, 2016

The Outer Banks Woman’s Club Angel Gift Program has launched its 29th year of providing a magical Christmas experience to needy children in Dare County, in partnership with the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services. Your generous support is even more necessary due to the impact of Hurricane Matthew.

Donations can be mailed to OBWC, PO Box 102, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948. Checks should be made payable to Outer Banks Woman’s Club. You may also visit our website home page – www.gfwc-obwc.com to make a secure, on-line donation to the Angel Gift Program using our PayPal Donate button. The Outer Banks Woman’s Club is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization.

For more information regarding sponsorship opportunities, please email the Outer Banks Woman’s Club at:[email protected] . Christmas trees with angels to “adopt” that specify gifts the children have requested will be on display beginning November 11 through December 2 at Walmart, TJMaxx, Island Pharmacy, OBX Chevrolet/ Buick and the YMCA.

In 2015, 468 children were provided with Christmas gifts. Former donors have received a request for 2016 support, which can be in the form of either a monetary donation or a child or family sponsorship.

The continued success of this program would not be possible without the generous support and funding provided by businesses, organizations, and individuals from Dare County and beyond. To apply for assistance, please call Social Services:252-475-5566. For all other program inquiries, please call: 252-305-4214.
