Haunting ‘The Disappointments Room’ Trailer Revealed [NC Film]

After numerous theatrical release delays, it looks like the horror thriller The Disappointments Room, filmed in Greensoboro, North Carolina back in 2014, will finally be released in theaters this September, and our first look at the movie, starring Kate Beckinsale (Underworld), has just arrived in the spooky official trailer, as well as two TV spots and a batch of photos!

Base on true events, the plot follows Dana (Beckinsale) and David (Max Raido) as they move from Brooklyn to a once-grand southern mansion with their 5-year-old son looking for a fresh start. But Dana’s discovery of a secret room unleashes unexplainable events that test her sanity and slowly reveal the home’s terrifying past..

Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and Gerald McRaney also star, along with newcomers Duncan Joiner and Raleigh, North Carolina native Ella Jones.

The supernatural thriller is directed by D.J. Caruso (Disturbia, Eagle Eye) and written by Beckinsale’s Underworld co-star Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Legends of TomorrowPrison Break).

The Disappointments Room will open in theaters on September 9, 2016.
