Outer Banks Crab Crunch Festival Coming To Nags Head

Grab your friends and family, and get ready for a seafood party Outer Banks-style at the inaugural Outer Banks Crab Crunch Festival, set for Wednesday, July 6 from 5 to 8pm at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head.

Flat-fee admission includes all you can eat locally-caught fresh, hot spiced steamed blue crabs and side dishes (potato salad, sweet corn on the cob, baked beans, cole slaw and corn bread), plus a variety of all you care to drink beverages including locally-brewed, cold craft beers provided by the Lost Colony Brewery, the Outer Banks Brewing Station and the Weeping Radish.

Live entertainment includes local country rock band “Croatan Highway” with their blend of country classics and southern rock favorites followed by the high energy six-piece ensemble “The Crowd” which has been rocking the Outer Banks since 1996.

Large event tents will provide cover and shade for 1,500 attendees with additional uncovered seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Picnic tables and chairs are available throughout the site.  Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are recommended for attendees who want to sit closest to the live entertainment on the lawn.

Tickets are on sale now for $49 for adults ages 21 and up or $29 for kids ages 11-20, available for advance purchase online here or at the gate until sold-out. Admission is free for kids ages 10 and under. 

Gates open at 4:30pm, and food service, beverage service, and live entertainment begin at 5pm.  This is a rain or shine event under normal conditions. 

The Outer Banks Crab Crunch Festival benefits the local OBX Storm Soccer Club.
