OBX Entertainment Brings Halloween To Manteo Christmas Parade [Video / Photo Gallery]

Posted By on December 6, 2015

The Town of Manteo officially kicked off the Outer Banks holiday season with their traditional Christmas Celebration this weekend, featuring the boat parade and tree lighting on Friday night, followed by the 44th Annual Manteo Christmas Parade on Saturday morning, Dec. 5.

For the first time, OBX Entertainment participated in the Manteo Christmas Parade from the inside, with our own float promoting next year’s 3rd Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes

With a thirty-foot pontoon boat courtesy of OBXjetpak and local jetpak pilot Butch Stone serving as our driver, about a dozen members of the Outer Banks Halloween Society came out in costume to help spread the spirit, transforming the boat into a float with Halloween jack-o-lanterns, seasonal lights, and a spooky black Christmas tree.

Among the costume enthusiasts with us, we had Brad Biddle, of Kill Devil Hills, in his massive eight-foot Megatron costume, a first place winner at the 2015 Outer Banks Halloween Parade, inspired by the Decepticon leader in the Transformers movies, along with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Elvis, Supergirl, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Kylo Ren from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Vampiress, Gorilla Man, Queen Bee, Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and our honorary reindeer Rudder the dog.

You can view some images from the event as we experienced it in our exclusive photo gallery below, and be sure to check back later this afternoon to watch our behind-the-scenes video!
