Wanchese Woods Creatures To Haunt OBX Halloween Parade!

OBX Entertainment is excited to announce that the spooks and ghouls from the Wanchese Woods Haunted Trail will once again be roaming throughout the 2nd Annual OUTER BANKS HALLOWEEN PARADE OF COSTUMES, a free family-friendly event for kids and adults of all ages, returning to Kelly’s in Nags Head on Sunday, October 25!

The creepy creatures that haunt the mysterious Wanchese Woods and the new kid-friendly Boo Acres will be at our Halloween Parade pre-party, starting at 2pm on Oct. 25, when participants of this year’s Parade are encouraged to get to Kelly’s early so they can get registered and enjoy the entertainment, activities, and trick-or-treat stations that will kickoff this rapidly growing event.

In addition to the short (0.3-mile) walking parade around the Kelly’s property, prizes will be awarded for the Best Costumes in various categories/age groups, including Best Male and Female age 5 and under; Best Male and Female age 6-12; Best Male and Female age 13-adult; Best Couple; and Best Family/Group Costumes.

Prizes to be awarded the adult winners this year include tickets to the Wanchese Woods attraction on Halloween weekend.

The Parade will begin at 3pm, with registration starting at 2pm at Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern in Nags Head, North Carolina, on Sunday, Oct. 25.

All costume contest entries must be registered to participate in the parade and to be eligible for prizes. 

Everyone who registers to walk in the Parade will be entered into the Costume Contest, with the winners to be announced during an Awards Ceremony immediately following the Parade.

Admission to this rain or shine event is free for anyone wearing a Halloween costume.

The mission of the Parade of Costumes is to provide a safe and positive celebration of Halloween and its traditions, for Outer Banks locals and visitors alike, and Halloween lovers worldwide, with live entertainment and loads of fun for adults and kids of all ages.
