The second season of the NatGeo series Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks premiered tonight on the National Geographic Channel (NatGeo), but we got to watch the first episode early at last night’s local premiere party in Wanchese.

The event, a fundraiser for North Carolina Watermen United, was a chance for many fans to get up close and personal with their favorite Outer Banks captains featured on the show, all of which were in attendance and happy to sign autographs and pose for photos, and we captured highlights of all the action, which we will be sharing with you over the next few days, starting now with the exclusive video below.

The full cast of Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks includes fan favorite and fourth-season Wicked Tuna champion Captain Dave Marciano and first mate Jay Muenzner of the Hard Merchandise; Captain Tyler McLaughlin and Co-Captain Paul Hebert of the Pinwheel; and Captain T.J. Ott of the Hot Tuna, representing Gloucester against the Outer Banks’ own Captain Greg Mayer, last season’s champion and captain of the Fishin’ Frenzy; Captain Britton Shackelford of the Doghouse; local legend Charlie “Griff” Griffin of the Reels of Fortune, and Captain Tami Gray of the Reel Action, who helms the series’ first all-female boat.

Just before the crowd was treated to an advance screening of the Season 2 premiere episode, entitled “First Strike”, the four local captains – Griffin, Shackelford, Gray, and Mayer – participated in a brief Q&A session, which you can watch right now in the player below!

Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks airs on Sundays at 9pm on NatGeo.
