Dreamscapes Art And Music Show Coming To Nags Head

Posted By on June 3, 2015

Art and images meet the sea at the first ever Dreamscapes Art and Music Show, coming to Nags Head this month.

The event will feature all mediums of art, including sculpture, wood works, photography, collage, acrylic on canvas, oil, pastels, tattoo art, and jewelry design.

There will be live acoustic music by Dustin Furlow through the afternoon show, and a free after party from 6 to 9pm that will feature music by Grant Austin Taylor, with a possible gathering of local musicians for an informal jam session following at 9pm.

Global Surf Network will also be screening surf films at the event, including the award winning Lost and Found by filmmaker Doug Walker, which is based on the discovery of 30,000 negatives of surfing photos found in three boxes at a flea market in Los Angeles, California.

Walker traveled for more than three years re-uniting photographers as well as surfers with some of the sport’s best images ever captured.

You can watch the official trailer for Lost and Found in the player below!

Walker has made this free screening available in hopes that it helps with the overall success of the event and in support of all the independent artists.

The first Dreamscapes Art and Music Show is happening on Sunday, June 14, from 11am to 4pm, at the Ramada Plaza in Nags Head. Admission is free.

For local artists on the Outer Banks, there are spaces for six more exhibitors still available, as of this writing. If interested in registering, you can email [email protected] or call event organizer Becky Bower at 252-216-0800.
