Released in early 2014, we just watched the horror film Devil’s Due last night and were pleasantly surprised to discover an oval black-and-white “OBX” decal from the Outer Banks, North Carolina on a refrigerator clearly visible in the background of scenes during the movie.

While it’s not the first time the Outer Banks has received a subtle shout-out in pop culture, it is pretty cool to see the signature OBX sticker featured so prominently in such a widely released major motion picture.

You can view a few stills from the film where the sticker is clearly visible below, as well as a still featuring what also appears to be a painting depicting the Outer Banks beach in the background.

Devil’s Due, an entertaining riff on the classic Rosemary’s Baby story, is airing this month on Cinemax and available online at MaxGo.com.
