[UPDATE: CANCELLED] ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’ Comes Alive At Roanoke Island Festival Park

Posted By on May 12, 2014

UPDATE 6/6/14 – This production has been CANCELLED.

More fun for the kids on the Outer Banks this summer, Fayetteville State University will present The Velveteen Rabbit children’s show live on stage at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo in June.

Toys come alive as soon as humans leave the room in the beloved children’s classic and forerunner to the Toy Story movies.

When one group of toys discovers a velveteen rabbit, they learn what it means to be truly loved by their owner.

Adapted from the classic story by Margery Williams, The Velveteen Rabbit tells the story of the unconditional love between a boy and his toy bunny and how that love makes the rabbit real.

Sponsored by Friends of Elizabeth II, Fayetteville State University will present The Velveteen Rabbit live in the Indoor Theatre at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo on June 25-27, with showtimes at 10:30am each day.

Tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance at the Festival Park ticket office or on the day of the event.
