Georgia O’Keeffe Tribute Comes To Outer Banks

The spirit of Georia O’Keeffe will be all over the Outer Banks this weekend, as the Bryan Cultural Arts Series presents a one-woman, two-act play that pays tribute to the iconic American artist.

Lucinda McDermott will perform “O’Keeffe” this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Manteo, Kitty Hawk, and Buxton.

The play explores the artistic and personal struggles of Georgia O’Keeffe’s life.

Written and performed by McDermott, the production premiered off Broadway and has been seen throughout the United States, as well as Bermuda and Mexico.

“O’Keeffe” will be presented on Friday, April 4, at 7:30pm in the Indoor Theatre at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.

The second performance will be this Saturday, April 5, at 7:30pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk, and the final performance will be at 3pm on Sunday, April 6, at Cape Hatteras Secondary School in Buxton.

Tickets are $15 and are available online here or at Duck’s Cottage Coffee and Books in Duck, Downtown Books in Manteo, Grays Department Store in Kitty Hawk, Sea Green Gallery in Nags Head; Buxton Village Books in Buxton; and Koru Village in Avon.
