It’s all about love and Robocop in theaters this week, while Jack Ryan is back in action at The Pioneer.

Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for this Valentine’s Day weekend of February 14, 2014!

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (rated PG13) starts Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo, playing for one week,  reviving the hero of numerous Tom Clancy novel-based films, this time played by Chris Pine (Star Trek).

Showtime at The Pioneer is 8pm nightly.

Another old school hero is also being revived this week, as the new Robocop (rated PG13) opens today (Wednesday) at R/C KDH Movies 10 in Kill Devil Hills.

Starring Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight), and Michael Keaton (Batman), you can check out the official theatrical trailer in the player below!

If you’re looking for romantic viewing options, there are plenty of options for you and yours this Valentine’s Day, starting with the remake of the 1980s Rob Lowe comedy About Last Night (rated R), premiering with a preview screening Thursday at 7pm and opening on Friday at R/C KDH Movies 10.

Endless Love (rated PG13) is also hoping to be your date movie of choice for Valentine’s Day, about an intense love affair between two teens that takes a dark turn.
