Here’s your Outer Banks Movie Update for the weekend of January 10, 2014!

 Premiering this Friday at the historic Pioneer Theatre in Manteo for a one week run is Disney’s newest animated comedy adventure Frozen (rated PG), about a group of friends who go on an epic journey in hopes of freeing their world from eternal winter.

Starring the voice talents of Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Josh Gad (Jobs), and Idina Menzel (Enchanted), you can watch the official trailer of the film in the player below!

 Leading this week’s new releases is the action drama Lone Survivor (rated R), starring Mark Wahlberg (Boogie Nights) as one of four Navy SEALS on an ill-fated covert mission to neutralize a high-level Taliban operative.

Also starring Ben Foster (30 Days of Night) and Emile Hirsch (Speed Racer), you can watch the official theatrical trailer using the player below!

The only other new release playing locally this week is the fantasy adventure The Legend of Hercules (rated PG13), an epic origin story of the mythical Greek hero.
