Heads Roll In ‘Sleepy Hollow’ TV Series Promo [NC Film]
FOX announced last week that the network will pick up the Sleepy Hollow pilot, filmed in Salisbury, North Carolina, to series, and while it is unclear at this point if the production will return to the state to shoot future episodes, we have the first ever trailer for the pilot for you to check out.
Starring Tom Mison (Salman Fishing in the Yemen) as the new Ichabod Crane, along with Orlando Jones (MADtv), Katia Winter (Dexter), and Nicole Beharie (The Good Wife), the drama pilot was co-written by Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci (the team behind Transformers and Star Trek) and directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld, Total Recall).
A modern–day supernatural thriller based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, the project, from 20th TV and K/O Paper Products, follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. Mison’s Ichabod Crane is a Revolutionary War captain who takes off a horseman’s head and then somehow time-travels to the present, where he proves a beneficial partner to a local detective when his enemy The Headless Horseman comes back to haunt the town.
Beharie plays Det. Abbie Archer, who’s poised to leave her small town to attend the FBI Academy. When she witnesses the brutal murder of someone close to her, only Ichabod Crane can corroborate her story.
Jones plays Lt. Frank Williams, the serious and sternly professional detective transferred to Sleepy Hollow to investigate a double homicide.
Swedish actress Winter plays Katrina, Crane’s wife and a nurse with the 37th Regiment in the Revolutionary War.
Filming of the pilot episode took place in March and April in and around the Charlotte area.
Sleepy Hollow will premiere in FOX this fall.
We will let you know where the series will film as soon as it’s announced.
