Cornfest Bowl Crawl Honors Fallen Local Skateboarder

Cornfest 2012 and the 2nd Annul Outer Banks Bowl Crawl will take skateboarders to six local skatespots throughout Dare and Currituck over two days, as an extended “rememberance session” dedicated to the passing of local skater Scott Greene, who lost his battle with Cancer.

The event begins at the Maple Currituck Skatepark in Maple on Friday, Oct. 12 at 2pm, continuing with scheduled stops at the Soundside Skatepark in Powells Point at 4pm on Friday, and continuing on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Kitty Hawk Skatepark in Kitty Hawk at 9am, Aviation Skatepark in Kill Devil Hills at 12pm, Manteo Skatepark in Manteo at 2pm, and concluding at the “Chief Bowl” in Wanchese for an evening session and cookout that evening.  

 According to the official site, there will be an event T-shirt and products passed out at every spot during the family friendly weekend.
